Chapter 21 Arrival

The next evening, before the sun was completely set, Link finally saw the appearance of Miluo Island in the afterglow of the sunset.

The straight cliff is at least forty or fifty meters high from the sea surface. It seems to have no boundaries at first glance. Bypassing this cliff and coming to the lowest coast on the island.

A small wooden and stone port is eye-catching, and five long berths are anchored by the platform to divide the cove in front of the port.

On the right side of the port is the long coastline. What makes Link feel a pity is that the coastline here does not look like a beach, but a stone fault with a drop of several meters from the sea surface, like a piece of biscuits that have been broken.

"There are cliffs on three sides of the island. Only this side can be landed. There is no other place to go ashore except this port. This is a good thing for you."

When he was about to dock, Parker pointed ahead and introduced to Link.

As we approached, we saw a group of people waiting in the port. The sky was getting darker and we couldn't see clearly.

After getting off the boat, several people came forward to say hello.

"Sir, I am David Banner, the captain of the first brigade." A middle-aged man with a short hair combed with a combed hair smiled and greeted him. The belt on the leather armor was loosely equipped with a thin sword, which seemed to be because of the waist circumference was too large.

"Sir, Captain Remigald, the captain of the second team." This is a tall, thin and capable young man. The clasps on the leather armor are meticulously clasped. When he bent down to greet him, the leather armor is tight and tight, making a "squeak" leather friction sound. His image is much more pleasing to the eyes of a greasy middle-aged man.

"This is.."

Link looked at the third young man who was preparing to introduce himself, and his dark skin could not be concealed under the dim light in the evening.

"Mr. Link, I am your secretary, Karlapp. As a naturalized citizen of the Nord Kingdom, please don't worry too much. Although I came from the Gini tribe, now my body and mind belong to the Nord Kingdom." After saying that, he gave a standard gift to Link.

In white shirt and white pants, the Gini man who spoke fluently and versatile language in front of him was even wearing a white square hat.

Link felt a little magical and nodded as if he was right.

The last one, the manor manager, was ordered to invite Link and Captain Parker to have a dinner party.

"This is Varé, the leader of the mercenary of Vigia. Now with me, I am going to arrange for him to be the captain of the third team."

After the few people finished speaking, Link was waiting for Captain Parker to introduce Vale to the people.

The security manager had two brigades under his command. Originally, these Virgian mercenaries would have been dispersed into these two brigades, but after listening to Parker's opinion, he decided to add a new brigade.

And Tony and Kenneth's several old subordinates continued to follow him and act as personal guards.

The two captains, David looked embarrassed, and Remy's face was calm. She looked at each other without saying a word.

The male servant on the side interrupted: "Mr. Link, I think you have to listen to the opinions of Manager Bob in the expansion, he..."

"Haha, a little bit of business, Manager Bob won't mind."

Link couldn't allow the male servant to talk too much, so he made a ha ha and put this topic over.

"What are you talking about?" Captain Parker, who had finished his work, happened to walk down the gangway.

"Are discussing what meal tonight, Manager Bob treats him."

After saying that, Link urged the male servant to lead the way. Before leaving, he asked Tony and several old subordinates to accompany Vale to the security department's residence together.

There are a few big gangsters under him, so they are not afraid of their losses.

Leaving the harbor on the shore, the servant led Link and the others into a carriage. The bright and delicate white painted surface and solid iron-packed wheels were very good.

But unfortunately, the dirt road leading to the manor is uneven, and Link's ride is not pleasant.

After a moment, the carriage finally drove onto the soft stone road. Link tilted his head and looked out. There was already a plantation area on the side of the road.

There are slightly shorter cotton fields on both sides of the road, and further away is a slightly taller sugarcane planting area. These are the main crops on Miluo Island.

"It supplies more than half of the sugar production in the entire Nord, and cotton fabric raw materials also account for a large proportion."

Captain Parker saw Link staring out the window and staring at him, and couldn't help but introduce him.

"There are better conditions than Miluo Island than this place. It is already a place with a main place.

That's why His Excellency the Duke had to build a plantation here at any cost."

Link retracted his gaze, "Is this island surrounded by those natives, so is it considered good?"

"There are pros and cons. This sea area is filled with the Gini people, and the pirates will not come over. In addition..."

Captain Parker glanced at Link: "Compared with those pirates with bad reputations, these primitive natives are much easier to deal with."

"Yes, I don't know who almost suspected that he died at the hands of those primitive natives yesterday."

Link curled his lips.

The carriage was walking for a long time and finally arrived outside a manor. The iron gate was opened quickly under the negotiations of the servants who were driving.

A short and fat old man was standing on the steps of the hall in the middle of the manor, waiting.

"Is this the Bob manager?"

"This is his manor housekeeper."

Oh, the score is quite big.

He handed over his armor and weapons to the servant beside him, and the two men in casual clothes followed the butler to the main hall.

Huge butter candles are spread throughout the main hall, illuminating the main hall as if it were daylight.

A long dining table is placed in the middle, covered with a gorgeous tablecloth embroidered with gold edges, making it impossible to see the materials of the long table.

The manager of Bob should be at the end of the long table. He had a short and fat figure, just like his housekeeper. From his expensive clothes, he could tell that he was a character, but his figure was limited and he couldn't hold on to his temperament. The shiny jewelry all over his body made him look like a nouveau riche.

"Captain Parker, long time no see."

Bob sat down and nodded at Parker, saying hello.

Parker didn't care, and signaled Link to sit next to him.

"This is the newly appointed security manager of Lord Duke, Lord Link."

Parker introduced to Bob.

But Bob only nodded slightly and made no sound.

When Link saw that this guy was not giving face, the servant happened to start serving the food, but fortunately he started eating directly without saying a word.

Parker was stuck in the middle, quite embarrassing.

"Ahem"

As Link finished cooking the steak in front of him and reached out to the roast chicken with his evil hand, Manager Bob finally couldn't help but speak.

"Does Manager Link look like he has a good appetite today?"

"That's not. I cut more than a dozen people on the boat yesterday, and I was a little tired."

"There are just some uncivilized primitive people who have no combat power, but I heard that the sailor on the ship is dead, or is it in the cabin?"

When Link heard this, he sucked his fingers, turned to look at Parker, and wondered, "Is this happening?"

Parker:...

"Ahem, the sailor is old and has bad luck this time. Something happened when I passed the storm belt."

After saying that, Parker turned his head to Link, and gave Link a swearing lip at an angle that Manager Bob couldn't see.
