Chapter 52: The Kinney Legion

Leave this to Carl, Link shook his hand and left.

Poor Carl is not only responsible for the selection of the upcoming Gini war team, but also to follow up on the grain population transactions with the major tribes outside the island, and also to verify and approve various expenses on the island.

In the past, Carl often complained that he was doing nothing, but now he wished he could grow three heads and six arms to deal with these troubles.

But he would not agree to let him stop. As a secretary who had been unemployed for a long time, Link gave these tasks to him to prove his trust in him, and the sense of professional accomplishment brought by completing the tasks also made this school-city student unable to stop.

Link inspected the island and basically carried out all the work on the island step by step.

Wander to the dock location.

As the only export on the island, Link is highly valued by Miluo Island.

If the Duke-led army invaded, they could only land from the dock. The fault structures on both sides of the coastline provide natural protection for Miluo Island.

"Who?"

"Mr. Link, I am the dock manager, my name is..."

A fat and white middle-aged man followed Link like a dog-legged. When he heard his order, he immediately stepped forward to greet him.

"Well, why not build a whistle tower here?"

Link thought of building a sentry tower on the coast so that he could discover the invading enemies in advance. This is also a building that exists in most ports and marinas.

He didn't know why the island didn't do this before. Old Bob was an old butler who was not in military affairs. Link could understand that he didn't build this mail tower, but there was no reason for previous security managers not to do this.

"Sir, you must use stone to build a whistle tower here, and it must be high-quality stone that is not afraid of seawater corrosion.

It is close to the seaside, and the wind on the coastline will be particularly strong at night. If it is built with wood, towering whistle towers will often not be able to bear the wind and will be blown down."

"I see that there are a lot of stone buildings in the manor. Where did those stones come from?"

Link remembered the buildings in the old Bob manor.

"Sir, it was bought from outside the island by Manager Bob. In the past, the security manager proposed to build a whistle tower with stone from the manor, but was rejected by Manager Bob."

The fat white man explained.

"Haha, your own money?"

Link thought of the luxurious decoration and building materials in the manor, as well as the piles of rockery groups behind the manor that were only for viewing, and sighed that Old Bob was really ruining money.

"Take your people with you and tear down all the rockery in the manor, and use the stones to build a sentry tower here."

Link pointed to a clearing near the dock:

"I want a sentry tower that can see the reef island, and there must be equipment that can provide police training. This is left to you."

Reef Island is the closest island to Miluo Island, four or five nautical miles away, and now it is impossible to see clearly on the flat ground.

The fat white man was stunned when he heard Link say that he would tear down the rockery group in the manor.

The news of the death of old Bob was blocked. He only knew that everything on the island was decided by the manager Link in front of him, and he was promoted by the other party.

Without further questions, the fat white man agreed and immediately rushed to the direction of the manor.

After dealing with this matter, Link walked into the dock.

The two three-masted sailboats that were originally parked on the wooden berth were gone. After asking the sailors on duty, they found out that they were driven out by the brothers Tommy and Downey.

"I don't know how their recruitment of crews is going."

The Lake brothers are quite clever under Link, and they brought twenty Virgia guys as guards. I think there should be no problem.

Recruiting crew members from outside is also a helpless move.

As an island surrounded by the sea, Miluo Island is particularly important for its maritime power, but because this sea area is surrounded by the Gini people, no pirates will choose this sea area to hunt.

So neither the Duke nor the Old Bob wanted to develop the maritime power on Miluo Island.

The entire island, which can truly be called a crew member, can no more than 30 people drive a three-masted sailboat.

The Vigya mercenaries under Link were all landslides, so let's not talk about it. Frank's mountaineering people were the first time to see the sea. As for Tony and others, they were still the same, chopping people and slashing people, and fighting ships were ruined, and they were useless to be pirates.

There are also the indigenous people of the Gini, but operating rafts is already their limit.

So Link was eager to master a maritime power that the ship could be bought with money, but the crew that could be trusted could only be searched slowly.

Everything on the island is moving in the expected direction.

A few days later, Carl finally screened out a group of Gini warriors with the help of the tribal leaders on the island.

Link chose to inspect them in the square outside the manor, accompanied by a Vigia team led by Vale.

It's almost December and the weather is still so hot. The scorching sun above my head is as big as a fireball, and Link regrets insisting on checking at noon.

The gate of the manor in the distance opened, and Carl was the first to get started. Under the leadership of several indigenous leaders, a group of hundreds of indigenous people followed closely behind.

I have to say that old Bob is very unsavory. In the huge manor square, except for the fountain that does not spray water in the middle, the rest of the place is covered with gray marble floors.

Hundreds of natives without shoes were turbulent on the marble floor, and they thought they were a little hot.

Carl looked at Link and frowned and shouted indigenous words to the native leaders under the steps.

The leaders quickly received a response, and the leaders turned around and scolded their natives. When the scene calmed down, the leaders faced Link on the steps and bent down to show surrender.

Link was very satisfied with their performance. Even he could not help his subordinates maintain the style of strong military force that was prohibited and disciplined in his previous life.

The general definition of a powerful army in mainland countries is: being obedient, able to fight, and winning.

The requirements are not high.

At present, this Gini Legion should be able to meet the first two definitions of the strong army standards.

Then, in a hurry of Aboriginal language by Carl, several leaders led their subordinates to swore allegiance to Link.

"What does this mean?"

Link wondered why he had already become their patriarch, so he had to sworn allegiance again.

"Sir, this is the most serious allegiance ceremony for the Gini people. As a Gini warrior, they are different from ordinary tribe members. These Gini warriors will absolutely obey your will, and ordinary Gini people do not have this obligation."

"oh.."

Link nodded in a slight sense of understanding, but suddenly he remembered the truth in his mind - "Rights and obligations are mutual."

"Why did they promise to be recruited as warriors?"
