Chapter 50(1/2)
Municipal People's Hospital, 8th floor.
When Chen Yixi found the ward, the road was always bumpy, so Ah Shi was alone in the ward while peeling apples and talking to his grandmother.
He leaned against the door and knocked on it.
Ashi thought Lu Wuke had returned, but he didn't even look back: "Lu Wuke, why are you knocking on the door when you come in?"
"Where did she go?"
Suddenly a boy's voice came out, and Ashi was shocked. The peeled apple in his hand almost rolled onto the ground.
She turned around and saw that it was Chen Yixi, and was a little confused: "She just left here, didn't you meet him?"
Chen Yixi stood up: "What did she go out for?"
Ashi wiped the apple: "I went to call, afraid of quarreling grandma in this room."
She called Chen Yixi to go out, but saw Chen Yixi still leaning against the door and not leaving.
Ashi was so stared at by him that he didn't even dare to bite the apple. He asked in a daze: "What's wrong?"
Chen Yixi didn't go around in circles: "Do you know about her going abroad for exchange?"
Ashi nodded without thinking: "She is still thinking about it. Their teacher called her every day and wanted to tie her abroad. Now the materials are not yet prepared."
She said a long list of things, and when she saw Chen Yixi's face becoming more and more serious, her tone slowly lowered in an unknown tone.
Chen Yixi stood up from the door and smiled at her, but his smile was obviously not enough to reach his eyes: "Thank you." After that, he took him to the ward door and left.
Ashi's mind turned around at this moment, and he slapped his forehead and then rushed to find his cell phone: "It's over, baby Wuke, I'll betray you."
She kept throwing her cell phone around, and she rummaged through it for a long time before she found her cell phone under a bag of fruit. She immediately called Lu Wuke with a call, but the other side was on the phone.
"I'll go, Lu Wujiao, how long will it take for you to call?"
After hanging up the phone, Ashi felt that he was dead and he was so ruthless that he could do nothing.
Chen Yixi didn't have to think about where Lu Wuke was going to make a phone call. He went straight to the stairwell and pushed open the door with his hand against the door panel.
The road is really in it, and I keep my phone in my ear and listen to the phone.
When Chen Yixi came in, she raised her eyes.
Chen Yixi looked at her and walked in and closed the door. He didn't bother her, leaned against the wall opposite her and touched a cigarette and came out to smoke.
Lu Wujiao's eyes fell on him, and he listened to Teacher Li on the other end of the phone telling her earnestly how rare this exchange opportunity is, and how many people want to go there. Moreover, this time it was a public exchange for school, and the quota was only based on the grades and not on the economic situation. He also said that this was the first time the school had a cultural exchange with this foreign school, and it was not certain whether there would be such an opportunity in the future, so she would consider it again.
Lu Wuke lowered his head, rubbed his toes against the ground, and said yes.
"Okay, I have something to do here. You can have a good New Year and give the teacher a reply before school starts." Teacher Li was a loud voice, and his voice penetrated the receiver and could hear it clearly in the stairwell.
Lu Wuke hung up the phone.
There was no Teacher Li's voice in the stairwell, and the air suddenly calmed down.
The road is not bumpy and goes to Chen Yixi.
She wanted to hug him.
Chen Yixiru posted it up.
Lu Wuke hugged his waist and leaned his forehead against his shoulder.
After a while, Chen Yixi spoke: "The road is no bumpy."
He picked the cigarette and overflowed from his mouth. His voice mixed with the smell of tobacco.
"Is love a man talking about it alone?"
The clouds outside the corner window of the stairs are gray and white, and dead branches point directly to the sky.
Lu Wuke lay on his shoulder and looked at the monotonous and dull outside, without saying a word.
Chen Yixi pulled her arm and lifted her out of her arms, looking at her eyes: "Answer me."
Lu Wuke turned his arm and wanted to break free from his hands: "Chen Yixi, you hurt me."
But Chen Yixi would not let her go.
Lu Wuke raised his eyes and looked at him. He turned around and walked away without saying a word, but was grabbed back by Chen Yixi.
Chen Yixi hurt her and she stretched out her feet to kick him, but he turned around and pressed against the wall without kicking her.
"Do you know why am I angry?"
Lu Wuke's breath was suppressed by his breath and he turned his head.
Chen Yixi stared at her side face: "The road is not bumpy, it is your business to go to school. I will not interfere and will not have any objections. I will only have more air tickets when I go to see you."
Lu Wuke said, "I didn't think about whether to go or not."
Chen Yixi turned his head and turned back: "You know this, I won't be angry."
It was still during the day, but the light in the stairwell was as dark as if it was dusk.
Lu Wuke knew, how could she not know what Chen Yixi was angry about?
Chen Yixi let go of her and stuffed the cigarette between her fingers back into her mouth.
He bit her cigarette and asked, "When did you mention this to your friend?"
Lu Wuke doesn’t have to think about it and know that Ah Shi should have been slandered by Chen Yi.
In fact, Ah Shi would know about this because she was waiting for her to finish class outside the classroom before. She was stopped by Teacher Li and talked about it for a while. Only after Ah Shi heard about it was the matter, about a month ago.
She was silent.
Chen Yixi didn't force her to answer, but said, "Your friend knows, Xu Zhiyi knows, where is me."
"If I don't ask you today, do you plan to not tell me for the rest of your life? If I hadn't known Xu Zhiyi, I would even think he was talking nonsense."
It’s all heard from others that my girlfriend wants to go abroad. It’s so damn ridiculous.
Lu Wuke suddenly spoke in a low voice, as if he was talking to him or himself.
"You won't want to know in the future. She spoke very quietly, and Chen Yixi didn't hear clearly: "What?"
The cell phone in Lu Wuke's hand rang, it was Ashi who called it. Something must have happened to grandma. Lu Wuke didn't even have time to answer Chen Yixi hurriedly ran out.
Chen Yixi glanced at her and followed her out.
My grandmother's body did have a sudden problem. The doctor later prescribed several bottles of drip, and the ward quickly recovered from quietness.
The weather is still very cold now, and Lu Wuke is putting grandma's hand into the quilt. Ashi next to him glanced outside and poked her in the arm.
"You guys have a fight?"
Lu Wujia knew that she was talking about Chen Yixi.
Chen Yixi just came with him. It was probably because he was fine. When he saw that he didn't come in, he leaned against the wall outside and watched.
After a while, when Ashi looked up again, there were no people outside. Ashi said, "Go away?"
Lu Wuke paused his grandmother's hand that lifted the quilt up, and the movements were so subtle that Ashi didn't even notice it. She helped her grandmother to push away the gray hair on her face.
"What's wrong with you two?" Ah Shi didn't understand.
"Nothing," Lu Wuke took the thermos, "I'll go outside to get some water."
The next morning, grandma woke up at around six o'clock, and she shouted that she was thirsty, asking Lu Wuke to pour a glass of water for her to drink. Lu Wuke quickly got up from the table and poured a glass of water from the thermos bottle, and helped grandma get up to let her drink water.
But after drinking two or three sips, my grandmother waved her hand: "Enough is enough."
Lu Wujia put down the water cup and helped grandma down and lay down: "Grandma, are you too cold?"
Grandma's lips were so dry that she was very pale. She smiled and said, "Why is it cold? You cover me with so many quilts every day."
The road is no longer a bumpy person, telling her not to speak.
She took a cotton swab and dipped it in water and wiped her grandma's lips.
It was not yet bright at six o'clock, and the light coming in from the window was dim.
The old lady's eyes were clear and bright, looking at her.
Since my grandmother came to this hospital, she rarely felt so energetic. She usually woke up and then closed her eyes and fell asleep again, but today she rarely talked to her.
The old lady looked at the sky outside the window before it was still bright, and lived on the eighth floor. At first glance, she could only see the tall buildings with few lights on.
"What time is the first today?"
Lu Wuke also followed his grandmother's gaze and put her water cup back on the table.
"It's thirteen."
"It's so fast," Grandma turned her head with a kind face. "Going home feels like yesterday, and so many days have passed in a blink of an eye."
After the operation, my grandma has been lying in the hospital for several days and has struggled to say something, but now she seems to have endless energy to use.
She asked the road without any bumps: "Is the beginning of spring coming soon?"
“Just today.”
Grandma murmured, "Spring is here, why isn't it a little late?"
To be continued...
