Act 80: The Balls of the Past I

He was wearing a holy white battle robe, silver armor, and holding a spear and a war halberd. The pattern on the spear was a beautiful temple cross, and the war halberd was like a sharp spear with spread wings under it. Then there was a swallowtail flag tied on the gun rod, and the flag was painted with a cross, a sun with heavy light, an angel and a saint.

The flag is written in flower-style text, meaning the holy sword under the glory.

There were also elves in the team, with pointed ears and long golden hair tied into braids. Their war horses were also covered with white robes, painted with the texture of sun thorns.

The entire team was shrouded in the fluorescent white light, slowly moving forward in the forest, but silently making the picture look extremely strange.

"Lord, Lord Lord!" Metisa pulled him twice before he came to his senses. Brando let out a sigh. This was the Holy Knights of the Knights of the Knights of Gracius, exactly the same as he had seen in "Amber", no, maybe that one.

"Rosa!" Someone in the team screamed, and a knight stumbled out of the team. "Rosa, Rosa? Where are you going?"

"Stop him!" Brando suddenly reacted, but the person next to him was a little slower, and the knight quickly disappeared into the dark forest. The team suddenly became a little turbulent, and he hurriedly reminded: "Don't look over there, it is a fantasy in the mind, it only exists in your memory. Those are the dreams of the lost people, entangled with your dreams. If you are tempted, you will be with them and replaced by them-"

Brando had already established prestige in the previous battle. His words shocked everyone and the team was indeed much more stable. But Brando still saw someone slowing down. As long as he was a little confused, he would be swallowed by the forest.

Brando quietly asked Nimexis to count the number of people, but in just a few minutes, the entire team was missing seven people. He knew that those people would never come back, and they would wander all day long in a dream that the living would never find. Until they die, their souls would linger here.

He sighed.

"These people with unstable will." Nimexis's face turned cold, and she pursed her lips. The outlines of her side face under her long dark hair became clear.

Brando turned around and looked at the female knight, a little displeased: "No one dared to say that he could never waver. Everyone has important people or things in their hearts-"

"It is precisely because of this. They were shaken in the face of the belief that they should stick to. Hank's fiancée Rosa was waiting for him to go back. Collins had two sons and one daughter, but they could not hold on to their confidence in their loved ones-" Nimesis's voice became weaker: "The reason I chose them was because I thought they were the best knights, I thought they could survive and go back."

Brando was stunned. He suddenly saw Nimexis's expression very lonely: "Are you angry about this?"

"No, it's just that I misjudged people and hurt them." The female knight replied softly, and she glanced at Brando coldly and turned around and left.

Brando stood there for a moment until someone patted him on the shoulder. He turned around and saw Phelas's handsome but inappropriate face. "Sir, you are really amazing. Even Ms. Nimesis dares to provoke her. Legend has it that a powerful woman is a rose with thorns-but Ms. Nimesis must have only thorns and no fragrance of roses." The young knight said mysteriously.

Brando glanced at the guy with annoyance: "But I saw that it seemed like you were still picking up her a few days ago?"

Phelas shrugged, without any embarrassment of being exposed, and replied solemnly: "It is because of this that I can understand this deeply."

Brando stared at the guy.

"Because she beat him up." Laurenna's voice came from behind. The female knight walked up and poked her fiancé's waist with the hilt of the sword, then turned around and asked, "Mr. Brando, have you noticed nothing wrong?"

"Yeah." Brando looked up and looked around. Of course he discovered it. Or he had known it long ago - the knights were trekking through the forest, splitting the dense bushes. But the light around was getting darker, as if it was shrouded in a layer of black fog. At first, he could see at least ten meters away, but now it seemed so dark that he could only see a few people around him.

"Ha, what's going on?" Phelas seemed to notice the situation around him, grabbed his arm and asked coldly.

"I'm about to talk to you about this - this is a dream."

"Dreams?" Laurenna was puzzled.

"Simply put, we are in a dream. This dream is the dream of the lost people in the forest. ‘They’ often dream about everything they had before their lives. But this dream is shrouded in the real world and is associated with the world in our memory. The lost people often use this method to lure travelers and make them lose in the forest."

"No wonder I just saw the little woman I saw in Leno before, Martha was on. She was as charming as she was at that time, with a plump figure-" Before Phelas could finish her words, Laurenna took a fierce look.

"Do you mean this is an illusion, Lord Earl?"

“Not all.”

Brando replied as he walked. After the team passed through a dense bush, the woodland seemed to become sparse. He saw a flat land, and the rich darkness seemed to surge from all directions. Not far away, the knights seemed to notice something was wrong and began to stir.

"Everyone is approaching." The voice of Nimexis came from the front. The female cavalier's voice was as firm and cold as ever, as if it were a flag in the dark. Brando sometimes didn't like her character very much, but he had to admit that Nimexis was an excellent soldier.

Better than seniors.

This open terrain reminded him of a place. After walking for a while, uneven pebbles and gravels appeared on the ground. This is a river beach, and there will be similar terrain only at the bottom of the valley.

But he could not be sure if this was already a wall of sighs—

"You know the dream, Miss Laurena." Brando turned around and replied, "Everything in the dream is uncertain. The passage of time in the dream depends on the degree of activity of your thinking when you sleep; so now we cannot be sure where we have arrived, nor how long we have been in the forest, and we walk through this dark forest, and everything we see is a dream."

"Wait, I'm a little confused." Laurenna held her forehead and said, "You mean it's a dream now. Are you in my dream, Lord Earl?"

"That's not great-" Phelas replied jealously.

"Of course not, you can understand it as half-dream and half-awake." Brando glanced at the guy.

"You mean a large group of us walk around the forest, sleepwalking together?"

Brando thought this guy's metaphor was really lame. But I have to say that this is the most in line with the current situation, so he had to nod to the two of them.

"That's great—I mean to say the beasts in the forest; Brando, you can imagine the food coming to your door—I bet that the waiters at the Inn at Rusta's 'Unicorns and Girls' were not as good as that."

"If I wandered to death in this forest, would you say they would put a tombstone on it and write a 'Friends of the Forest', and maybe a two thousand pound medal should be given to me. The medal must be engraved with the inn of the Unicorn and the Girl's hotel to prove that I have made selfless contributions to this forest as an excellent waiter-"

"Shut up!" Laurenna interrupted Phelas's long speech: "Sir, is there any danger in this dream?"

"This dream is associated with the dreams of the lost people before their lives. If you are confused by them, the soul will always stay in this forest and will never wake up."

"What should I do?"

"First," answered Brando, who raised his voice and shouted, "Everyone is closer to each other. This forest is a dream woven by the lost people. Be careful, it will pull you into the dream of the past later. If you don't want to sleep in this forest forever, you only need to remember two words - firmness, calmness."

His voice came from afar.

The dream of the lost person is somewhat like a battle of the golden demon tree. But this dream is completely different from the dream of the Forbidden Orchard. It really exists in this world. The dreams of those who have lost their reputation will devour everyone during their lifetime, like a huge vortex that pulls them towards the center.

To escape these dreams, all we have to do is to save the entire dream world.

The darkness was getting richer and stronger, and Brando gradually couldn't even see the figures of Laurena and Phellas beside him. From time to time, people asked in the darkness that direction to continue moving forward.

"forward."

This is Nimesis's answer.

But in fact, that direction is meaningless. Brando walked for a while, and the surroundings became quieter and quieter, as if even the whistling wind had subsided. After a while, there seemed to be another rhythmic sound of insects, and melodious music came from afar.

It is not the ethereal singing of the legendary elves or fairies, but the human instrument, which is a wind instrument similar to a trumpet, playing a joyful tone. It is just that the sound is there and there, as if it comes from a certain direction outside the forest.

Brando blinked and felt the light around him gradually becoming brighter. The woodland had completely become sparse, and there was an open clearing in front of him, with lights in the distance, like a small town.

He stood alone by the river beach, with stars dotted above his head, the forest was full of beautiful black pine, and the moonlight was set against the gurgling water, like a night after midsummer in Buqi or the area in Chabli.

Nimesis, Laurenna, Phellas, Freya and the Knights, everything disappeared. He was stunned for a moment, and then tried the spiritual connection, but there was no response.

Brando then understood.

I'm already 'slept'.

This is his dream.
